Con Kennedy Appointed Visiting Professor of Design at the Beijing University of Technology

Con Kennedy was appointed a visiting design professor at the Gengdan Academy of Design, part of the Beijing University of Technology, China. As part of an international panel of design experts and visiting professors, Con will deliver visual communication design modules to recruit Chinese students to complete their design degrees at TU Dublin.

Con Kennedy was appointed external examiner for the Cork Institute of Technology's BA (Hons) in Visual Communication Design. Con will continue in this role for three years.

Con Kennedy Appointed by DJEI as Rapporteur for the ‘Design in Ireland' Workshop

The Department of Jobs, Enterprise, and Innovation (DJEI) hosted a workshop for representatives from the design industry, industry associations, design-sector associations, enterprise agencies, academia, and policy creators.
The workshop's purpose was to solicit feedback from stakeholders on draft findings from a number of research studies currently being undertaken on design. It also discussed the opportunities to create additional jobs, firm sales, and exports through enhanced design activity and how the design ecosystem in Ireland might be strengthened.

Con Kennedy to Chair Design Thinking Seminar

Con Kennedy will chair the Design Thinking Seminar at Design Fest, Clonmel. The seminar will introduce entrepreneurs and SMEs to Design Thinking and explain how it can enhance their products and help businesses achieve greater success with their customers. The seminar will include case studies from Maple and Spud, Tipperary Boutique Distillery and Triangle Marketing.
